The only way a DUI charge is removed from your record is if you have it dismissed in court or you are found not guilty by trial. Otherwise, it stays with you for life. I know that is the situation here in Texas, but I think it’s pretty standard across the US. They want to know if you are a habitual offender, like me. 🙁 You can go 15-20 years between convictions and they treat the first one like it just happened. Or say you get 2 in your 20’s, then in your 50’s you get a 3rd…it’s a felony. Because of that, they don’t let you remove them.
