I don’t have a question or anything, but have to say this site is something I wish I had previously. I wanted to share my experience for others that might be in the position I was. I got a 7th dui a few years ago, ya I said 7. I’m a idiot, I know. Most of mine were back in the 80’s and 90’s so punishment wasn’t like it is now, so when I was hit with the 7th, I was crushed and knew I was going away for a looooong time. Someone suggested this chic lawyer to me and after meeting her, I just knew she was the one. She worked some magic shit and I walked away with a misdemeanor, 2 years probation, no ignition breath thing and no community service. Hopefully no one is a idiot like me and getting 7 these days with uber and shit, but my point of sharing this is IT IS ALL ABOUT THE ATTORNEY! She said she was in trial with another client and the DA wanted to settle but she wouldn’t budge. She leveraged her trial case to get my plea deal as mentioned above. Whether it is your first or multiples, find the baddest lawyer you can and they can work deals.

To further elaborate on what @Jimba said, I say all over this site that you have to find the right attorney for you. Make sure they have plenty of experience in cases like yours, possibly a previous District Attorney in the same court, and know the judge and current DA. It makes all the difference in the world. Again, these charges will not come off of your record, so you have to do it right on the first try.
